Big Samsung TV for $1700 ... well technically $1699.99 after rebate. This is (and I quote) a "Samsung HL-R5087W 50 inch 1280 x 720p 2,500:1 Contrast Ratio HDTV Built-in DLP TV w Pedestal .. okay we still have ordinary TVs at home. We figure these HDTV and LCD and Plasmas are just extravagant luxuries ... but man do they look good! Imagine watching Singin' In The Rain, Hellzapoppin clip, or even Real Genius on one of thes. and my computer at work has a bit of spyware on it (downloading and installing a few lan tools from zdnet). my computer would hang after reboot after anywhere between 8 hours to 24 hours of uptime. Solution? Well, I stopped using Internet Explorer as my browser and am using Mozilla Firefox. Problem gone. Not to mention the tabs and opening bookmarks in tabs rocks! (posted 12:37 AM)  

So I loved using netgear's hubs and switches for a long time. So when it came to wireless, I went with netgear PCMCIA cards and a netgear wireless router. And they suck. Sorry, they really suck. They even lost a class-action lawsuit because their equipment sucks. So I figured it would be safe to go with linksys a.k.a. Cisco. But now I find that they dont' work well with VPNs. Who would have thought little Dlink would come up to be the big winner. Okay..just a rant.. if you have thought write me please. Otherwise I'll be going to get new Dlink wireless equipment this weekend :) (posted 12:35 AM)
